Church History

Faith Baptist Church of Greenwood, Indiana began in March 2004 as a step of faith by Pastor Steve Maxie with the sponsorship of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church of Batesville, Arkansas.

Beginning in the Greenwood senior citizens center, the church quickly outgrew that location. The Lord then graciously led us to the building at 1640 Fry Road which is now our church home.

Faith Baptist Church, is a friendly, conservative church proclaiming the historic Baptist faith, preaching the Gospel from the KJV Bible. We desire to reach the lost for Christ, serve the Greenwood community, and to provide a church home for those who are looking for a friendly, traditional church holding to these basic precepts.

By God's grace Faith Baptist Church was fully organized on 10/17/2009 and is no longer supported by Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church. We are so grateful to Pleasant Valley and many other churches for their loving support, encouragement, prayers, and fellowship over the years. We have recently payed this forward by supporting our own missionary to St. Jacob, Ill.
